Hey y'all, I'm Scott. I'm a Jack-of-all-Trades guy, like your cool uncle, but for photography.

While you get settled in, let me personally thank you for being here- Part of my process is connecting with every subject that I photograph, so you've taken the first step and already broken the ice.

​

I'm from Long Island, which is that tiny, forgotten island due east of New York City that Billy Joel sings about, where business executives vacation in the Hamptons and Mimosas are guaranteed at every brunch.

​

So why am I a photographer? My lifelong passion has always been photography.

 

One of my earliest memories is playing with the "toy" that was my grandfather's brand new Nikon FT. I could see everyone smile the biggest grins in front of my grandfather's camera, and I knew I wanted everyone to smile at me the same way. The camera was key! From then on, I knew that was what I wanted to do. Little did I know at the age of four or five about his reputation of being a kind soul with incredible charisma. Everyone has their "thing," and photography is surely mine. I can wield a camera, but I don't think anyone will ever "out-rizz" grandpa Otto.

My second grandfather built Hamptons motels by hand in the early 1960s. He pioneered a town that was undeveloped at the time and built infrastructure that you might recognize if you know where to look. He taught my father everything he knew, who in turn taught me to repair all the things and work for myself. So, that's what I do. I'm a third generation Long Island native, but I like to travel as often as possible. In life, perspective is everything. See as much of this beautiful world as you can because tomorrow is never guaranteed.
